Sarah Abbott Boerema, D.M.A
A doctoral graduate of Arizona State University, violinist Sarah Abbott has performed throughout the United States and Europe. She holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan, an Artist Diploma from the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University, where she also served as adjunct violin faculty.
Sarah performs regularly with the Grand Rapids Symphony and the Utah Symphony and has appeared alongside renowned artists including Lynn Harrell, Robert McDuffie, Gil Shaham, and Stefan Jackiw.
In addition to maintaining an active private studio, Sarah teaches violin and String Methods at Aquinas College. Suzuki-trained with Mark Mutter at the University of Michigan, she is committed to helping each student achieve their individual goals through thoughtful, personalized instruction. Her teaching emphasizes strong technical foundations, musical artistry, and fostering a lifelong love of music in students of all ages and abilities.
